Sometimes it takes a wake up call to get things straight…and that call came from my friend Gregory Friday afternoon.  Sometimes I just think that everybody knows exactly what I know.  I have to remember that I have been online for over 9 years now and I have been there seen it and got the t-shirt and worn it out along the way.

So I’m going to start a new series where I just walk people though the process of how to make money online from start to finish & I’m not going to leave anything out.

I’m even going to show you some of my websites and the results they get and even some that were total failures.

With over 400 websites I have done about everything possible.

I have Adsense Farms.
I have membership sites.
I have single page sales letter selling digital download.
I have physical products that are sold via websites.
I do Google Arbitrage.
I do hard-core black hat SEO.
I promote affiliate products.
I make money blogging.
I create my own products.
I take PLR and create new unique products.
How I do JV’s and get other people to promote my products for me.
How I find affiliates to promote my own products.
How I find affiliate products that pay insane amounts of money. (A good example is Blockbuster was paying out over $20 per sign up for a free trial last year.)

Plus a few things I would rather just keep to my self.

So over the next few weeks I’m going to do a brain dump to ramp you up to speed.

But today’s first lesson is about list building and affiliate sales.

So why should we start with affiliate products?

Well there are a number of reasons.

First you can test to see if there is a demand for it. The last thing you want to do is create a product and then find out nobody wants it.  Been down that path before.

 So by promoting somebody else product you can gauge demand and test different offers.

Now I’m sure you are thinking nothing ground breaking here so far.

Ok this is something that I don’t think anybody else lets out of the bag.

YOU NEED TO BUILD YOUR OWN LIST WHILE YOU ARE PROMOITNG AFFILAITE PRODUCTS. 

Ok read that again and post on your bathroom mirror. Yes it is that important.

See what you need to do is build a list of prospects while you are promoting affiliate products.

Think about it. If they are interested product A you could follow up with them to buy product B or even offer your own bonus if they buy product A.

I hope you see the leverage you can get from this.

Now lets take if one-step further. If you promoted a few products in the same niche it wouldn’t take any time to create a list of hot prospect.

Then you can send them related affiliate offers for other products and make some nice money.

Or lets take this one step further.

You can build your list from affiliate sales while you create a launching pad for your own product.

Now one of the important things to remember when you are promoting affiliate products is you need to have nice clean links that don’t scream AFFILAITE link and some way to capture the name and email address at the same time.

Plus you need some way to track click on your links to see what offers do best.

See it is not about total sales but the total click through with the highest dollar amount.

You need to divide the clicks by the total sales and this will give you the dollar per click.

Don’t divide the clicks by your affiliate income, since different affiliate products have different % payouts you need to make sure you look at total sales.

There are a few ways to do this. I’m going to cover this in a latter video

You can add a popup on the affiliate landing page, then add a link clocker and a link tracker on top of that. 

Very nasty and this can lead to mistakes. I have mess this up in the fast and didn’t make a dime for my work.
